About Me

Melissa Rush is the Founder of Tech Savvy Coach - a Social Media Consulting and Technology Education firm. Her expertise is in social media strategy, technology education, web design, branding and events planning. She has over fifteen years of experience as a marketing communications professional, and has previously worked at Fidelity Investments, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Georgetown University. Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in International Relations, where she also studied Journalism. She received her Master’s degree (M.A.) from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture and Technology Program at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC. During her Master's program, she studied abroad in Paris, attending programs in London, Geneva and Brussels on mobile, internet and new media technologies and the global implications, uses, policies and regulations surrounding them. She later moved to Amsterdam to work for a start-up software company utilizing artificial intelligence in developing dynamic search engine technologies. She helped to develop and manage the company's brand identity and website, and participation in international trade shows & conferences. 
With a flair for foreign languages, she has studied Dutch, Russian, Spanish and French. Melissa is an active member of the Junior Woman’s Club of Walpole, formerly on the Board of ECDC Nursery School of Walpole and is very active in her community. She was formerly Vice President and Communications Chair and of the Georgetown University Alumni Club of Boston. She is an active volunteer for women's and children's charities and events such as JWCW Charity Fashion Show, The Ellie Fund for breast cancer's Oscar Night America gala, Community Servings, Greater Boston Food Bank, YWCA Women's Leadership gala and Fidelity Cares Heart Walk.
