Freelance Writer, Motoring Journalist & Photographer

About Me

I'm a freelance automotive journalist and photographer, with five years experience of running and building a successful brand in the automotive field.

My background is mainly in the IT & Telecoms support sector where I started working at the age of 18 with British Telecom.

By the time I was 20 I had moved to a Telecoms company and became technical first point of contact for contracts in excess of £100k around the UK.

I finally found my passion in life a few years ago, combining my love of writing and photography with an infatuation for automobiles that I had kindled since an early age.

Colleagues know me as a self starter who can come up with creative copy on any subject.

I often work alone but am equally capable of collaborating as part of a team.

I'm currently freelancing and building up my portfolio. I can be reached through the contact info on my profile.

Owner / Editor

Having always had a keen eye for writing I fell into the world of IT support after never really knowing what I wanted to be in life. 6 years later and i finally find a passion that feels enjoyable rather than a hard slog, Automotive Journalism. I set up a blog called Carwitter which rapidly morphed into a full blown car news, review website with a team of like minded writers. Carwitter is my baby. It has taught me lots, enabled me to cut my teeth and develop my writing ability. Along with the passion for writing I have always loved photography since I was a youngling. Often having a camera thrust at me during days out or at family events as no matter what i seemed to capture always turned out rather well. When starting Carwitter I never wanted to use the boring, generic press shots that manufacturers dish out. If I was doing this, I was doing it properly. Initially I started with my point and shoot, but soon upgraded to a mirror less Sony SLR. From their my passion grew exponentially, trying my hand at multiple subjects – not just the automotive. I still actively manage and write for Carwitter whilst trying to make a living in the freelance world.
