I am a researcher, an information architect, a high-tech startup entrepreneur, a photographer, an explorer, and a writer.

I conduct fact-based research, combining qualitative and quantitative data with expert analysis to produce meaningful insights and compelling content. I develop strategic, technical, and market-facing materials for organizations in the high tech and financial services industries. I have worked in San Francisco, New York and Boston, as well as in Hong Kong, Japan, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, India, and Algeria. 

My next project will be to survey the state of innovation readiness, and catalog and benchmark startup activity in the local communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Publications will include a travel logs containing observations and raw data, a regular piece on the state of readiness region by region, and a final report with comprehensive analysis and recommendations. As there is growing interest globally in the economics of innovation, especially in emerging markets, this research will not only raise awareness and guide local entrepreneurs, it will also inform venture capital and private equity managers specializing in emerging markets, as well as provide a strategic road map to technology companies aiming to establish or extend their brand in the region.
