Experience

Director of Content Marketing

Placester helps real estate agents attract, nurture, and convert home buyers and sellers. Our all in one platform includes website lead capture, social media, content and email marketing features that enable rookie and top performing realtors alike to establish authority and capture more business online. In my role as Content Marketing Director, I head up a team of three, steer the editorial calendar for Placester Academy, set the strategy for sales and customer success enablement activities, and maximize affiliate marketing opportunities. On a typical day I am writing email nurture copy, editing a blog post, sitting in on a management meeting, sending ad placements over to a partner, and sharing ebook feedback with our in-house designer.

Instructor

In June 2014 I taught a two-hour class, Tools For Marketers, to 15 Technical Marketing track students at Boston's Startup Institute. The goal was to familiarize them with the framework of personas and the customer funnel, and explore the ways they could incorporate data into their digital strategy using analytics and curation tools for email, social media, websites, and more. When students were polled, "How likely are you to recommend the instructor on a scale from 1 to 5?", I got an approval rating of 4.7. I was invited to return in November 2014 to lead an intensive social media session, accompanied by a follow-up debrief, and have continued to teach at the Startup Institute ever since.

Freelance Correspondent

I conduct sporadic local interviews, cover events and report on trends for AmericanCraftBeer.com. It's a completely self-directed gig, and I really enjoy the creative freedom it affords me. My top-performing articles are Southie Finds a Champion in Castle Island Brewery (5,377 page views) and The Art of Boston's Craft Beer Labels, Part Two (5,289 page views). My strong writing skills and professionalism prompted site founder/editor Tom Bobak to select me as the sole ACB representative at Tennessee's Bonnaroo music festival, and one of two correspondents invited to attend the 2013 Great American Beer Festival in Denver.
