Jennifer Posner is an urban planner with extensive experience shaping physical planning/design and policy initiatives. Currently a program manager at the University of Miami, Jen oversees a research project exploring the intersection of affordable housing and the impacts of climate change on the built environment, resiliency, and vulnerable populations.
Jen was the City Planning Strategist for Spatially, a geographic analytics technology company in Miami, Fl. Jen provides strategic insights on the creation and positioning of the company's consumer and business product offerings.
Previously, Jen spent nearly 10 years with the New York City Department of City Planning. She was the Assistant Director for Planning Coordination, a strategic planning arm of the agency. Prior to this position, Jen led the agency's policy and planning work for several large-scale projects in industrial waterfront areas and residential neighborhoods in Brooklyn. She began her tenure with the Department as Special Assistant to City Planning Chair Amanda M. Burden.
Jen has a BA from the University of Virginia and has a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
