Rob LeDonne is a Brooklyn-based writer who has written for some of the most prestigious publications, brands and properties in American culture.
He most frequently pens a wide array of features, Q&As and other content across Billboard's online and print properties. Since 2014, LeDonne has been a regular contributor to Rolling Stone, penning pieces on sports, music and film. He also writes material for New York, GQ, Vulture, ESPN.com, Maxim, Vice, Nylon, Nylon Guys, Teen Vogue, MEL, and the New York Times. Brand clients include penning a wide variety of material for Equinox (working on content featuring artists like The Chainsmokers, Leon Bridges, and David Guetta), as well as Marriott and Smashbox Studios.
A native of upstate New York, LeDonne is also a comedy writer who kicked off his career as a 'joke faxer' for the debut season of Jimmy Fallon's Late Night in 2009. Since then, he he has penned material for a variety of television programs and specials including Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update (2011- 2015), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (his final season), the Creative Artists Emmy Awards (2014, 2015, 2016), MTV's Video Music Awards (2010), and Fox's Teen Choice Awards (2010). In addition, he's served as a consulting writer for the Onion News Network (2012), MTV Weekends (2013), the Billboard.com web series Charts Center (2015), and a series of videos for the the artist Stromae (2015).
He also also served as a writer for A&E's Critics' Choice Awards (2016). He has also written comedic pieces that have been published in The New Yorker, Playboy, Billboard, Complex and Funny or Die, and is regular contributed for Time Out New York's 'Rants' section.
Born in Brooklyn, LeDonne is a graduate of New York's New School and has also attended Hofstra University and UCLA. He has studied and performed comedy at Second City: Chicago (as part of their Comedy Studies program in 2007), as well as New York's Upright Citizens Brigade and the People's Improv Theater. His birthday is May 7th.
