Senior communications professional, avid and passionate writer and storyteller with significant experience across industries, including in the non-profit sector and in an agency working primarily with financial services, healthcare, and legal clients. I spent the last seven months on a bucket list adventure traveling, and am blogging about it at AnnaLogsIt.com. Most recently, as the Senior Campaigns and Communications Manager at Global Fund for Women, I managed content strategy and development, working to spotlight women’s human rights issues and amplify the voices of women around the world through media relations and PR, creative online storytelling and social media campaigns, strategic advocacy actions and partnerships, crisis response, and CEO positioning. Prior to joining Global Fund for Women, I was a Senior Account Executive at Hellerman Baretz Communications (now Baretz + Brunelle) where I managed PR, marketing, and business development for a variety of clients, including major law firm practices and a leading private equity firm, and mastered crisis management and crisis communications. My passion for digital and social media began during my time as a Jeff Metcalf Fellow at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, where I focused on international security issues including nuclear weapons, biosecurity, and climate change. I hold a dual A.B. with Honors in English Language & Literature and Political Science from the University of Chicago. A proud native of Chicago, I'm passionate about politics, food, fitness, hiking, and the Chicago Cubs, and am currently working on my photography skills and attempting to learn how to code.

I led all writing, advocacy, digital marketing, and creative and project development for this online campaign on Nepalese women rebuilding one year after the devastating 2015 earthquake. For context, we raised more money for response efforts following the Nepal earthquake than any other crisis, resulting in more opportunities to fund and partner with grassroots women's groups doing creative work for immediate relief and long-term rebuilding and recovery.
