I have had many years of experience honing my writing skills as a text editor, marketing copywriter, blog writer, technical writer, web content writer, etc. I have produced written deliverables not only for companies in the government contracting space, but also for clients in the commercial and non-profit space.
One of the clients that I have written pieces for include OCN.com (Our Community Now). The writing pieces that I submitted to Our Community Now concerned local events, specific businesses, new products/items of interest, etc. I also pitched ideas to senior editors at OCN for future stories that I could research and write about.
Moreover, I enjoy doing freelance writing work in the marketing copy milieu and the web content milieu. Besides freelance work, I have also worked full-time as a technical writer. During this period of time, I would edit/format graphics and tables that were part of large documents and also handbooks. I have created tables and tweak the look and feel of the document in terms of colors, font size, font type, etc.

I wrote about a specific drink brand that was making a comeback to the DC/MD/VA area in 2017. It was a very fun piece with some facets of nostalgia for the drink included. I wrote under the pseudonym, Matthew O'Connor.

I researched and wrote on many different subjects like finance, travel & leisure, food & beverage, business software, IT, etc. I have also written thousands of Tweets and Facebook posts for companies who wanted to promote their own products and services.
