If there's one thing I know, it's good writing. I've studied it. I've taught it. I've practiced it. Using storytelling skills honed during my M.F.A. in Creative writing, I've crafted quality content — including web copy, articles, press releases, media kits, and blog posts — for brands, non-profits, and journals alike.
When I taught college-level composition, I would tell my students that writing effectively means knowing your audience. As a communications specialist for universities and a writer for public relations agencies, I targeted my content to maximize its influence, fitting each piece together to tell a brand's larger story.
Because I love stories.
Good web content is like a story: it brings together various devices to enthrall a reader with it's narrative. Like the characters, setting, and dialogue in a novel, pieces of content serve various functions but convey the same overarching brand themes and voice.
