Writing is something that I have always wanted to do. My dream for this, like that of many writers, was to become a published author. That was always my interest, and it still is, but I have also decided that this is never going to happen unless I start writing now. Placing my ambitions on the back burner will only result in regret if I never act upon them. So if I want to be a writer, I need to write. I believe that I have some natural talent, but I recognize that that talent has to be honed if I am ever going to meet my goals. Writing content and copy are useful skills to develop and they provide a lower barrier to entry than full length novels. The first step for me is to make a living by being a writer. To build momentum while doing something that I enjoy.

I have to admit that after graduating from college with a degree in French, I have wandered a bit. I have done a number of things and while I may not have accumulated a wealth of experience in the writing field, I have learned some valuable lessons. I have developed my own courses from scratch, which taught me how to start something on my own and finish it. I have learned web development, which has let me write a little and learn the basics of SEO. I have labored as an Assembler for a local company building Electrical harnesses. I have learned how to break complicated projects down into actionable parts and the importance of paying attention to details. All these skills are highly valuable for me now as I start my journey as a freelance writer.

All I am looking for is for someone to take a chance on me, and to be given a chance to grow. Hopefully I hear from you, but if you feel like I am not a good fit for you, then it wasn’t meant to be. I am determined to succeed, and if it isn’t with you that just means I will have to keep searching.
