About Me

I took my first writing job as a sportswriter for my hometown newspaper during my junior year of high school. My career has taken different paths since then, but writing has already been at the center of every position. Over the past 25 years, I have been a managing editor for a major sports publishing company, a marketing director for a national nonprofit, a marketing director for a statewide credit union, and a communications director for a university. In addition, I write regularly as a freelancer for a medical magazine.

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame, with concentrations in English and Journalism. I also worked in the sports information office for three years, followed by one year at the sports information department at North Carolina State University.

Today, being I'm a single father and youth sports coach dominate my spare time. Other hobbies include exercising (jogging and walking, primarily), movies, and watching professional and college sports.
