Writing prose is an opportunity and my passion! I have been writing academically for over four years and have done my personal creative pieces as well. A nurse by trade and a writer at heart I am breaking into the freelance writing world (and it's about time!). I currently work in Population Health Management as a Licensed Practical Nurse. I am also a full-time single parent and student working on my masters in Public Health. My profession has led me through an energizing and enlightening 15-year journey. In the beginning, I started as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and ventured into nursing. I began my nursing career in an Alzheimer’s Unit. I grew in many different settings through Primary Care, to Orthopedics, and landed in Population Health Management. The hunger for knowledge and determination drives me to challenge myself and seek to improve in areas of opportunity.
I wholeheartedly believe in mindfulness and growth as the key to success, and this carries through into my writing. Drawing on my passions and the eagerness to express them through meditation, mixed martial arts, writing, reading, and singing is my idea of a healthy and happy life.
