Hi, and welcome to my portfolio site. My name is Guéber Dorzilmé.
I was born and raised in the Ottawa area. I have a BBA in Information Systems from Andrews University in Michigan. My background is mainly in IT with experience in technical support, QA/testing, and technical writing.
I’ve always been a writer at heart. I remember going through high school and university looking forward to the next essay writing assignments in English class. Communicating my thoughts through writing has always come naturally to me and I always aced my English classes.
I mostly have a background as a QA Analyst and Technical Writer where I worked in wide range of industries such as banking, telecom, property management, and technology. I’ve always showcased excellent writing skills in my career whether by writing testing documentation, procedures manuals, knowledge base articles, or user guides.
Working with various institutions has provided me with the ability to adapt to different environments, as well as learn any software quickly regardless of complexity.
What does this all mean when it comes to your business?
I’m a client-focused and detail-oriented. I’m responsive. I always strive to complete projects before the deadlines. I genuinely want to ensure that the work I produce is of the highest quality and that it meets your needs. My job as a writer is to take the burden of content creation and documentation off your shoulders and make your life easier.
What do I like to do for fun? Well, I love music! Not just listening to urban, soul, jazz, and gospel music, but also creating it as a musician. I am a pianist/keyboardist and I love spending my spare time letting my creative juices flow on the keys, sometimes even recording. I’m also a big sports fan. I play basketball and occasionally soccer, and closely follow the NBA (my team the Raptors), and NFL (for the love of the game).
One adventurous activity which I hope to try again if I every get the chance is zip-lining . I've done it once back in 2014 while in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and it was absolutely exhilarating.
