I have been a writer for 27 years. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992, my first job was as a writer/editor for a sports technology publication. Since that time I've written a book about the University of Texas basketball program, I published my own Austin-based sports magazine for more than three years, and have written countless freelance articles for a variety of publications including the Austin American-Statesman, San Antonio Express-News, Detroit News, Daily Herald (Chicago) and a variety of different websites.
In addition to writing, I'm an entrepreneur. Over the last decade I have owned and operated multiple businesses including a small marketing agency that created email newsletters and managed social media pages for multiple car dealerships, a radio station, and other local small businesses. I also developed a local marketing program where I wrote content and designed a monthly email newsletter that was delivered to an email database promoting offers from local businesses.
Currently, I'm the owner of a restaurant delivery service called Local Eat and Drink. We have delivered food from more than 40 restaurants to the suburbs of Austin, Texas since 2014.
Monthly email newsletter that I send out to my database of customers that features short articles on new restaurants, special offers and various other topics.
This includes all the stories I wrote for TravelGolf.com from 1998-2003.
