nDash.com is a content creation platform that provides brands and agencies with access to the world's top freelance writers.
I'm a native English speaker/writer with an MSc (Business Management) from the University of Hertfordshire (England) and believe it or not, I actually do enjoy writing.
As part of my studies, I have authored over 70 fully-referenced essays, including 2 x 10,000 word dissertations in the fields of Health (BSc) and Business Management (MSc). As an experienced user of the Harvard referencing system, I have been able to consistently produce fully-referenced academic content, leading me to gain a Commendation at Masters level from the University of Hertfordshire.
As a freelancer, I have enjoyed writing for a variety of businesses but my 3 main favourite categories have consistently been Business, Tech and Health. I derive a considerable amount of pleasure from writing copy, as I like to immerse myself in the process. I like to understand the audience first, understanding what tone they are used to and where the gaps in their knowledge lie. This informs my writing style, as I can periodically return to the place of the audience and ensure that the intent of my copy is adequately communicated. This technique has helped me consistently produce high-quality copy that resonates with the intended audience.
In the last year, I have experimented with, and immersed myself in the world of ecommerce, and been able to grow a store from 0 - 2,000 orders, the associated Facebook page to 52,000 followers and an Instagram page to 17,700 followers. Having grown my store from the ground up, I have written over 300 product descriptions, created at least 80 Facebook campaigns and created around 10 funnels. I am learning what works and what doesn't work in the e-commerce space, and have learnt a lot of lessons in creating high-converting stores, customer acquisition and retention, traffic generation, lead generation, and more. I am loving the e-commerce journey, as well as the opportunity that ecommerce gives me to put my years of business studies into unrestricted use. I recently repurposed an old blog for the purpose of recording my ecommerce adventures and I found it quite useful as a way to merge my interest in writing with my interest in ecommerce.
In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering with and building websites. I wish I had a more exciting hobby, but here we are!
