nDash.com is a content creation platform that provides brands and agencies with access to the world's top freelance writers.
Hi, my name is Sara. I was born in Los Angeles, California and currently reside in Zürich, Switzerland.
I'm a copywriter, editor, and content creator. In my near-decade of experience, I've worked in a variety of industries with small businesses, corporations, newspapers, magazines, and bloggers.
For the first four years of my career, I worked primarily as a freelance writer and content creator. This eventually led me to my time working in-house as a copywriter and eventual content manager. In my most recent role, I had the opportunity to source content from additional writers and this gave me a fresh perspective on what matters to businesses as they work with contributing writers and freelancers.
I feel my diverse background has helped me to be a better writer and editor. It's given me a focus on multiple angles and given me the insights to understand both sides of the process of commerce-focused content creation.
In my spare time, I love to play music (bass and guitar mostly), travel (I went to Tokyo, Prague, and Geneva for the first time this year), write fiction, dance tango, and cook.
I also make a point to embrace the 'hygge life' at the end of each year to spend quality time with family and friends during the holiday season, but in 2020 when I reemerge, I want to take some sewing classes, finally try paddleboarding, and enter a screenwriting contest. I'll let you know what else I decide to get up to!
During my time with EF Academy, I managed the EF Academy Blog. I updated its branding, increased our readership, and oversaw content creation and production for our primary blog in English. I also advanced our efforts to eight additional blogs, training blog managers and creating content that was translated into several languages including Italian, German, Norwegian, and Russian. This link allows you to see the blog as of October 2019.

I wanted to give high school students and beyond some practical advice for nurturing their passion for science, technology, engineering, or math. While the article is very much focused on EF Academy, there's still some advice in here I feel a wider audience can benefit from.

Written in 2019, this article explores four industries that are growing at rapid rates and are projected to become a major part of daily life over the course of the next three decades.

In a world full of technology, it's easy to get sucked into the devices we're using and forget there's a whole world around us waiting to be explored. I wrote this article for EF in 2019 after our creative team discussed a situation many of us frequently found ourselves in – traveling somewhere amazing, but spending too much time taking in the sights through the lens of our phones and devices. I hope you enjoy it!

I travel a lot and believe it's changed my life. I've also worked with a lot of companies that promote travel as one of the most enriching experiences a person can have. But sometimes, in our excitement to explore, when planning content, a core group of travelers is underrepresented. This article came from a more personal place than some of mine typically do. I have a few very close loved ones who face a few challenges with their mobility and have taught me so much on the subject.

Traveling is a wonderful experience for anybody but it can be immensely valuable for young minds during their formative years. That's not always the easiest concept for parents (or their children) to wrap their heads around, so this article helped organize some of the first steps a parent might take while helping their child plan a trip abroad.

Here's a bit of fun for the language-learners in the DACH region (or the DACH region at heart!)

STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education is an update on the increasingly common focus of STEM within education and the modern workplace. Respected by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and educators alike, this article explores why the STEM field requires a balance of the arts, especially for high school students.

This was one of the first pieces I wrote for EF back in 2017. It was written during a time I was studying German, trying to get from the A1 to the A2 level. It’s always a good idea to know a few basic phrases that can help you build a foundation for further study later on.

This is a straightforward guide to marketing. I wrote this for TrekkSoft in 2017. As with most of the content I produced for TrekkSoft, I understood that our readership wasn’t necessarily the most tech-savvy. And as small business owners from all over the world, they might not have studied Marketing or Business Management. These are real people. They’re just looking to be better at managing and marketing their business.

This was a guide I wrote for TrekkSoft's customers. This was a brief introduction of how businesses could craft their key performance indicators (KPIs) while trying to market their business.

This was an article directed at potential TrekkSoft customers. The goal was to lead readers to inquire about TrekkSoft's services but I also wanted to write something that could appeal to an audience that wasn't necessarily going to use our software.

This was one of the webinars that I produced and directed for TrekkSoft. I helped write the presentation, coordinated the Q&A, and enjoyed collaborating with our guest.

This article was part of a series focused on the values of strong personal branding. In this article, we have a look at three public figures whose personal brands are almost more beloved than the roles that brought them their initial international fame.

Amazon is one of the world's most respected companies at the moment, but it's not arrived to its current status without some controversy. This article explores how we can learn to bounce back from difficulties and come out a greater success than ever anticipated.
