About Me
Hi there! My name is Janelle and I am a professional educator and writer.
I love all kinds of writing and have been doing it most of my life (which is longer than I care to admit right now).
Do you remember having to write reports in school and, like, one kid actually looked forward to writing them? Yep, I was that kid.
I love the idea of taking disparate thoughts and facts, and using words to create something unique, helpful, and wonderful!
I love to learn (literally the reason I work in education!), and see every writing assignment as an opportunity to gain new insights and to add to educate myself in some way.
Throughout my career, I have been the one others look to when it is time to write memos, emails, reports, scripts for webinars, and just about any other writing task my coworkers are uncomfortable doing. Uh huh, I'm still that kid.
From 9 to 5, my role as the Instructional Designer at a post-secondary institution means I am responsible for assisting faculty writing, editing, and proofreading content used in online and hybrid courses. My twelve year's experience as an instructional designer in higher education means I have extensive experience collaborating with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to create high-quality content.

I live in Boston (but moving to Providence, RI in February 2020) with my amazing wife and our two awesome feline children.
