About Me

I am a passionate writer who targets readers’ interests to increase audience engagement and subscription sales by proactively identifying and pitching story ideas in line with publication branding guidelines. I’m not afraid to tackle tough topics, and am enthusiastic about learning, with an affinity for research. In fact, I have a proven aptitude for taking complex topics and turning them into easily-digestible narratives, all with a solid commitment to accuracy and editorial style. I have consistently delivered large amounts of high-quality content on time and on budget.

My success is driven by my ability to make lasting and fruitful relationships to foster dynamic development of content. People like me, and like to work with me. I have a high EQ, easily build trust and confidence, and am effective collaborating across cross-functional teams. I am a self-starter who requires little supervision. As an editor, my success lies in my aptitude to quickly and thoroughly evaluate content for mechanics and contextual errors. In editorial team development and teaching, my success relies on the ability to be direct but pleasant with clients and emerging writers, empowering them to become better writers. I am someone who will bring an optimistic energy, forward-thinking attitude and progressive mindset to any team.

I have been fortunate enough to write for a wide variety of publications on a wide variety of topics including business, municipal government, community news, education, profiles, marketing materials, public relations materials, hard news, human interest stories, breaking news, magazine features, and more. I have proofread and copy edited for community newspapers, trade journals, magazines, and novels. The accomplishment I’m proudest of is winning a New England Newspaper and Press Association Special Award.
