My blog and content through HospitalRecruiting.com is informed by my thirteen year career as a healthcare workforce recruiter for rural and underserved South Carolina communities. Through this work I gained extensive expertise around healthcare workforce, rural and underserved healthcare, and primary care recruitment. While in this role I collaborated with state and national partners to plan and coordinate state-wide programs to build primary care workforce capacity in SC’s rural and underserved communities. I am also a Licensed Masters Social Worker, and spent three years in behavioral health care outpatient settings, working to improve the quality of life of clients with severe and persistent mental illness. These diverse experiences coupled with my interactions with healthcare consumers, recruiters, administrators, and providers make for engaging and action-oriented content.
