My specialty is creative writing, primarily fiction and creative nonfiction. However, I'm proficient in copy writing, blog posts, opinion pieces, and research/academic articles.
I'm a bookstore manager in Lafayette, Louisiana. I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University in Chicago in 2015. My fiction and essays have been published widely, online and in print. I'm a former (and who knows, maybe future?) instructor. Outside of writing and reading, my interests include current affairs, basketball, baseball, mental health awareness, film, and spending way too much time on Twitter.
This essay examines my process and relationship to craft and creativity in the flash fiction medium.
