My almost 40 years of life has been filled with a few lifetimes worth of experiences. First and foremost I am a mother of four children. A girl and three boys. I have been through all phases of parenthood from the "mom"bie life of infancy to the roller coaster world of teenagers.
Like my byline states, I am all about the wife life. My husband is a medically retired Soldier (US Army). Of course married life is an adventure, but add in the aftermaths of deployments, and you have the experience of a lifetime. Over our ten year marriage, we have been through active duty/deployed life, battling mental health obstacles, and the VA Health systems. My married life is more than military experiences and child rearing. My husband and I enjoy tackling many DIY home projects, yard work, and we always make sure to save time for couple's fun time. Our marriage has had some ups and downs, but no matter how down we get, we always make sure to reconnect at the core and laugh.
There was 28 years of life before my marriage. I come from a family that moved from New York to Florida in the great 80's migration south. My parents separated when I was in elementary school. Both my parents are alcoholics and my mom is bipolar. I was a pretty average teenager and lived a fairly normal but dysfunctional life. I survived a violent rape when I was 14 years old. I recently had to speak at a sentencing review hearing for the case. My speech left a lasting impact on the courts and the rapist is now staying in jail. At 17 I met my first husband. We had a great eight year run that left me with two children and divorced by the age of 26.
Career life has always been on the back burner. I love being a professional homemaker. It's where my heart is happiest. I began my work experience at Disney. From there, I decided to I loved helping people so much, I branched into a career into property management. I have worked in property management on and off from 2002-2017. When I left my field, I went back to school to pursue a teaching degree.
My bio just scratches the surface of how my life has blossomed. Every experience has molded me into the person I am today.
June 2020 I was asked to give a statement to the courts in regards to how being a rape victim for the last 25 years impacted my life.
