For my business writing, I use my knowledge and experience from my work as a senior officer with Disney Cruise Line. As the head of the onboard children's program for Disney as well as other cruise lines and teaching overseas, I can write about children, parenting, and education from personal knowledge and experience.

Once a year a competition is held to choose Hungary's National Cake. This piece, commissioned by CNN Travel, tells readers about the 2019 the competition and winner of the award and came from interviews with the winning confectioner and the Confederate of Hungarian Confectioners (along with a tasting of the cake, of course).

This feature story for Unearth Magazine (print) profiles Rose Mapendo, a Congolese death camp survivor, United Nations Humanitarian of the Year award winner, CNN Hero nominee, Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year for Gender Equality and Volvo for Life winner. It's a result of lengthy interviews with Ms. Mapendo and a humanitarian aid worker who assisted in getting her, her family, and their fellow captives out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Commissioned by Fodor's, this piece offers readers some wonderful lesser-known interesting things to do while visiting Budapest, Hungary.
A supposed ban on 'modest' swimwear in the famous baths of Budapest has created a sense of confusion and calls of religious discrimination. Fodor's commissioned me for this investigative piece to visit three baths to try to get to the bottom of a reader's tip.
