I am a library assistant with five years of copywriting experience, and six years of proofreading and copy-editing experience. I have been proofreading reports, essays, book manuscripts, blog posts, personal statements, academic work and articles since 2012, so you can be sure that any articles I write need no extra editing. I have experience with producing articles on a range of topics. My educational background is in Social Sciences, Creative Writing (elective modules), and English Language (A). I took an Advanced Creative Writing module during my undergrad, and we often read each other's work, annotated it, and offered constructive criticism. Further to this, I have always edited and proofread my own short stories, articles, blog posts, poetry, reports, and so forth.
My main niche is wellness and natural lifestyle. I have a great personal interest in mental health, herbal medicine, being zero waste/plastic-free, spirituality, crystals, bach flower remedies, astrology, self-improvement, self-help, and natural living. I regularly read books in the genre. In 2020, I studied for a certificate in Herbal Medicine through Coursera, and took a course in Homeopathy in 2019 with WEA. I am currently taking an Online Introduction to Aromatherapy Course through The School for Aromatic Studies, and the Introductory Herbal Course offered by The Herbal Academy. I regularly write posts on my own personal anonymous blog about overcoming mental health issues, which offers advice to sufferers and their carers. My last experience with writing about topics like health and wellbeing for a client was in 2018. I wrote (and edited) many articles for an occupational health website called MYOSH. I have also written articles (of around 500 words) for the natural health and wellbeing website Wellness Nova as well.
In general, I have experience with blogging and copywriting for many clients across a range of topics - my research skills are well-developed. I also have experience with inserting keywords (and SEO blogging), and sticking to required wordcounts. This role involved bidding for projects and then proofreading client's submitted texts for any mistakes, in areas such as grammar, spelling, or syntax. I was responsible for managing my workload and meeting deadlines. I worked for Proofable since its inception. I was able to develop skills in precision from this job, as well as English language skills, time management, editing, and communication skills.

GKBC Academy is a burgeoning offshoot of Strategy which provides a platform for young writers. It offers an opportunity to get content published online on blogs and websites. We were given specific assignments, set our own deadlines which we were expected to meet, and then got feedback for it. This experience allowed me to practice writing about a wide range of subjects for different clients.

Working with LUU, a democratic charity, my role involved setting up and supporting meetings, event planning and delivery, and researching (online and through focus groups) new ways to engage postgraduate students. I was involved in supporting the Union's strategic plan to get postgraduates more involved with decision making and social opportunities while studying. I was also co-chair of the BME staff group, which involved admin duties such as minute taking and report writing.
