I finished Secondary School No. 5 in Tartu with a Silver medal. I studied for my B.Sc. at the Estonian Agricultural University and finished in 1993 Cum Laude, passing all exams excellently. In 1995, I defended my M.Sc. at the same institution. I defended my Doctor Scientiarum degree in Norway at the Agricultural University of Norway in 1999. Since 5. January 2021, I work as Chairman of the Board and as a senior researcher at the NPO Veggies Cultivation (https://www.veggiescultivation.com/). I have three discoveries in greenhouse vegetable production and wrote 12 research monographs (books) and 2 popular scientific books in English and wrote many blog posts in English.
