nDash.com is a content creation platform that provides brands and agencies with access to the world's top freelance writers.
Who Am I?
I'm Kasey, and I've been working as a full-time freelance content and copywriter for the last three years. However, I have experience working part-time and contractually as a content creator, blog writer, and copywriter since 2012. At the end of the day, writing is not only my career; it's my passion. Outside of my professional work as a freelance content creator, I serve as the Municipal Liason, a community organizer and volunteer, for the San Antonio region for the creative non-profit event, National Novel Writing Month.
I've been developing my skills as a writer since I was 12 years old. However, it took me many years and quite a lot of trial and error to turn what was a hobby into a full-time career. Before I transitioned to writing full-time, I spent many years studying for technical degrees that I never completed. I worked toward a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and Computer Science for about four years in total and another two years studying for a Bachelor's in Business Management for IT.
I've finally settled on a degree path, however. I'm currently attending Southern New Hampshire University, where I'm working towards receiving my Bachelor's in Communication with a focus in Business Communication. Ultimately, I chose this path because I want to continuously improve my ability to communicate and help businesses grow by creating content that they find beneficial.
What Are Your Top Skills?
I've spent time developing my professional skillset as I've learned more about the roles and expectations of content creation. Ultimately, as I gained experience, I realized that clients found certain skills exceptionally beneficial, and I worked diligently to hone those skills.
As a result, some of my top skills include:
While this list doesn't include all of my skills, I've found that they are the skills that my clients appreciate the most.
Questions, Comments, or Concerns?
I've worked with multiple clients across many different industries. Therefore, I understand how nervewracking it can be to work with a copywriter. Making sure you find someone that meets your needs in terms of brand voice, content quality, and organizational goals is a daunting task. Starting a working relationship with the wrong freelancer can leave you behind schedule and have a variety of other negative impacts.
Realistically, I understand that I may not be able to meet everyone's needs. Therefore, I'm always happy to speak with my potential clients and provide more information about my experience and service. I have no problem answering any questions you have and promise to tell you honestly whether I feel my personal style and workflow would be a good fit for your project.
