I have a decade's worth of experience in the classroom as a teacher, Inclusion Leader & Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo). I've been part of both middle leadership and senior leadership teams. I'm also a parent to the most wonderful little pumpkin!
I write from experience.
My work includes:
- Journal articles including Education Technology, Academies Today & Independent Education
- Blog posts and articles (mainly about parenting and education)
- Contributor to roundtable discussions in education think pieces
- Contributing author for an educational handbook
- Guest lecturer for PGCE students
- Classroom teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Inclusion Leader, Subject coordination and Senior Leadership Team experience in a variety of schools
I'm a big believer in responsive, restorative and gentle practice in both parenting and education, with a focus on the emotional needs of a child before anything else.
I'm always excited to hear about new writing projects, let me know what you have in mind!
