nDash Writer Profile for Adriana Garcia

Hey Guys, I am new to this Writing Journey, but I am on a mission to get started somewhere and put my talent and efforts into work. I am not taking, "No," for an answer. We all start somewhere. A little bit about my Writing Journey, and why I have decided to pursue and come down this route. In the 4th Grade my essays were picked "Top Percentile," out of my grade. I wasn't always good at writing. I remember being pulled out of recess because my writing wasn't were it was supposed to be. At the time, I thought it was a drag. But because of this, I improved and excelled in writing. During my college journey, I picked a "hard professor," to challenge myself. I attended a English Corner session which is pretty much a writing workshop tutorial type deal on how to better grasp the writing concepts on Essays. Even though Professor Matter was a tough grader, and my last assignment was pretty rough, I managed to successfully finalize his class with a B. At 27 years of age, I have been going back and forth on what career choices to pick, and thinking to myself.. Well what am I good at? What do I like? What can I possibly do for the rest of my life? It wasn't until I stumbled across this thing called, "Freelance Writing," and it just hit. I tend to "talk a lot," sometimes or have many thoughts and can actually put it into use. From what I've seen and heard.. and a couple of "failed attempts," at this.. and no hit yet.. I can say this journey without experience or a degree will be hard to actually land a first paid assignment. But here I am, putting in efforts into work and "trying again," not taking, "no," for an answer. Being my authentic, and real self, with a touch of my ditzy, bubbly personality. I know it will take me somewhere someday. I just have to keep trying and trying until I get my, "first paid writing assignment," that I anxiously anticipate with much eager.
