I have a Ph.D. in English and thirty-plus years of experience teaching writing, editing and proofreading, and writing books and articles at the post-secondary level. I am also an established blogger. Currently, I edit and proofread scholarly articles and fiction/non-fiction as a teacher and writer. I am a reader, editor, and proofreader for various professional journals and presses in the fields of English Studies and Creative Writing including Routledge, Wiley Blackwell, The Publication of the Modern Language Association, Eighteenth-Century Studies, Meridians, Cutbank Literary Journal, and Tupelo Press. I am op-ed contributor to newspapers. I also do book reviews for a variety of publishers and journals. In addition, I am an invited writing judge for the Global Undergraduate Awards (the Junior Nobel Prize), Educational Consultant for SimpleTense Education, and content and developmental editor for The Urban Writers. I am proficient in APA, MLA, and CMOS styles. In addition to the sample works on my application, I have edited books ranging from cryptocurrency guides to private sector manuals, though I can’t share them due to client confidentiality.

I am also getting an MFA in Creative Writing at Warren Wilson College, the highest-rated residency MFA program in the country. I have published a novel and many shorter works in nationally and internationally known journals.  I do thorough, professional, and passionately meticulous work. I am seeking part-time and flexible remote work for which I'm highly qualified as I approach retirement.
