My name is Rachel Becker and I am a freelance writer who resides in the Pacific Northwest. During 2019 I shifted my previous employment to remote work from home. I continued work with two personal blogs and applied my writing skills remotely. I have worked for Study.com from September 2021 through present. I specialized in writing humanities copy for the longform project department. My copy spanned a plethora of topics from the Dark Ages of History to Women in Jazz to Ballet Russe to lesson biographies of Chaim Potok, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and much more.

Previously I worked for twelve years in the education sector as an elementary educator covering multiple subjects throughout a day. Simultaneously I ran two personal blogs and worked for both community and professional theater. I continued my work as an educator through yearly accredited writing, planning, and creating content to engage young minds. This continued education practice included Architects in Schools, Authors! Authors! Authors! courses, and one to one digital learning work. I co-authored multiple grant projects for classroom content from 2008 to 2019.

I gained my professional degrees from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006 focused in the areas of music and communications, and my Masters in Education with Elementary Education focus and multiple subjects endorsement in 2008.
