About Me

I'm a Univesity of Michigan graduate (2021) with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies (special focus in Writing & Communication) and minors in Earth Sciences and Creative Writing. I'm now looking to pursue a career in science communications.

I've worked as a columnist at The Michigan Daily newspaper and pursued literary journalism research as a member of the Great Lakes Writers Corps. My creative nonfiction piece "Stone Fly," produced as a member of the GLWC, won the 2021 Hopwood Award in Undergraduate Nonfiction and is now published in Canary Literary Journal. In addition to a full suite of environmental science courses,  I've taken courses in Environmental & Public Health Journalism, Environmental Justice, International Studies, and Natural Resources & Economics; I also studied anthropogenic climate change at Oxford University in 2019.

I'm comfortable writing a variety of topics, from short to long-form, narrative to journalistic to copy.
