Having graduated in 2019 from the University of Dundee with an LLB (Hons) degree in English Law, I have since shifted my focus on crafting high-quality legal and business content. Since April 2020, I have been working as a corporate paralegal for a boutique US-based corporate and securities law firm that represents growing businesses, financial institutions and individuals with domestic and worldwide access to the U.S capital market on mergers and acquisitions, investments, transactions, joint ventures and restructuring. Originally providing legal support to growing and established Chinese businesses and now working alongside startups within California, I am well-acquainted with crafting numerous pieces of written content including internal documentation such as affidavits, contracts, and financial reports, as well as publicly consumed content such as marketing collateral that includes legal-focused articles and blog posts, business plans and pitch decks.
My experience as a bid, proposal and tender writer has also allowed me to craft written content that carefully persuades and influences. With a successful track record of winning six to eight figure bids for public sector and private clients, I have built up a keen understanding of the language of procurement and a nuanced ability to sell. As a freelance grant writer for two innovation consultancies, I have crafted several successful Innovate UK Smart Grants for SMEs working on innovative technologies for mass disruption and significant potential for rapid economic return to the UK. Coupled with my legal experience working alongside startups, I have now developed a keen understanding of entrepreneurship, startups and innovation.
