I'm Kelsea. A thirty year old who really loves words.
So much so that I sometimes get overwhelmed when I have to find the ones needed for an About Me. Crazy how you can truly believe yourself to be witty until you're tasked with finding a way to explain that succinctly.
My story began with me growing up in poverty in St. Louis before being adopted by a military family at the age of 11. Growing up Black in a conservative, white household (whom I love dearly to this day, regardless of opposing stances) , it took me a while to connect with the parts of me that weren't nurtured in that environment. My journey to a full understanding of my myself was made even longer when I came out as gay not long after leaving for college.
While topical research is something I enjoy deeply, my current portfolio contains mostly personal essays reflecting on my world views through the lens of my intersectionality.
