Hi! My name is Melissa Smith, and I'm a writer, editor, and ghostwriter. I'm comfortable with several industries - I've worked as a communications technical writer in the government sector, specifically in information technology and humanitarian aid. I write about -- you guessed it -- writing on my blog, and I've been published in several literary journals. My debut fiction novella is forthcoming through a small press.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Religious Studies from Knox College (class of 2018). Beginning in the fall of 2022, I will be a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Oregon State University-Cascades.
I live in the Washington, D.C. area with my partner. In my free time, I play tennis, read, and binge K-dramas.
My debut fiction novella, forthcoming through the Main Street Rag. An excerpt from the book is included on the web page.
