I am most often keeping up with current events through videos from any number of sources though usually media, whether mainstream or alternative. I suppose the vast majority of the things that I have written that is available to the public is in the comment section on YouTube or simply Tweeting what I believe to be the difference between THE truth and someone's personal truth. Sifting through the claims as they reach separate conclusions with the same evidence or lack thereof. Politically I try my best to stay neutral and along center lines, though I would have to say that I agree with the ideology of the Libertarian in that the only right we are given is that of bodily autonomy. I am only aware of my own thoughts as well as can only control my own body, which would lead me to believe that is also the only thing I can truly "own" in any sense of the word. If I "own" anything else it is only because everyone else agrees that the object is also mine, so it is nothing more than an agreement. So for anything beyond "I would like to do what I want without infringing on anyone else's right to do the same" we would have to have an agreement between us all. This is why there are no Libertarian Ideologies really, because that would be basically anarchy. Although there are people who advocate for it, most who do understand that it is not something that works for massively large groups of people, the vast majority of which do not have the skills needed for independent living required of a "decentralized" society where no one is leaning on anyone else to meet any of their needs. This type of society is not likely to thrive at all, without any common goal or over-arching cooperation. Somehow America has stumbled upon a working mix of a democratic republic using capitalism mostly but progressively arguing for socialistic structures of specific services like health care. So, politically from the middle I simply like to point out the problems I see on both sides, or more often the problems that arise from the influence of large industries or lobbies that advocate for their interests over that of the American citizen or worse, against it. For example, my opinion on Elon Musk and his purchase of Twitter and recent accomplishments made within the company are not that different than most who would like to be as close to a free speech absolutist as possible. With that being said, the platform feels like it is a bit "freer" in speech but not completely, as I seen that his suspension of Ye (Kanye) did not really have a legitimate reason, but worse, it was personal and Elon admits it. However I am happy to see that he was very quick to address child exploitation and removed it post haste. We need more people like him and the Sheriff of Polk County Florida, Grady Judd. Go Google him if you aren't familiar, even an atheist would claim the man does God's work.
