I'm a Maine-based writer who has a long and varied career producing and curating content as a newspaper reporter and editor, magazine writer, editor, and co-publisher, wire services reporter, online reporter and blog writer, and long-form book ghostwriter.
At heart, I'm a storyteller, and I try to make every piece of writing I produce tell the story as succinctly as possible. My aim is to engage the audience, to introduce them to people, places, things and ideas in a way that makes them want to keep reading; turn the page, scroll down the screen, it doesn't matter. If they do that, I've done my job.
Being a professional, I consider deadlines sacrosanct, sloppy grammar and punctuation heretical. I have an ingrained respect for the collaborative process of creating great content, so I work well with other professionals to meet that goal.
