nDash.com is a content creation platform that provides brands and agencies with access to the world's top freelance writers.
I am a very versatile writer:
- I have founded and run two business-writing firms (resume writing, business plan building), and written and produced classes and supporting material for both.
- For a medical device start-up, I wrote grant proposals, investor presentations (including producing the financials) and website content.
- For a crane operator certification company, I wrote accreditation documentation, investor presentations, website content and test bank questions.
- I have written freelance articles for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Wilderness, and a national insert content provider.
- I have produced websites for several companies, including all written and graphic content (an arboretum, a garden center, a university department).
- For a professional services firm I led their Talent Acquisition department, writing from scratch their policies and procedures, hundreds of job descriptions and resumes, and producing a promotional video.
- I worked for 19 years in banking which required extensive technical writing, including policies and procedures, presentations, internal memoranda and performance reviews, and was paid to speak at industry conferences in Chicago, London and New York on derivative systems (received top marks for presentation and content).
- I founded a garden shop with my husband, for which I wrote a monthly newsletter, produced and wrote material for classes on a variety of gardening subjects.
- I have had my own executive recruiting business for 17 years, which requires a lot of editing and pitch writing (re-drafting resumes, writing job descriptions, pitching our services to clients and candidates).
- I have written two novels (still in the process of editing for publication).
- For family and friends, I have written many short children’s books.
I split my time between the US and Mexico. In Mexico, I have attended the Lake Chapala Writer’s Conference, am part of a writing critique group, and participated in four writing retreats with friends who are (well-known and published) authors.
I would like to make writing a more central part of my professional life, so am now looking for a few long-term clients or engagements where I can make a difference.
