One of my favourite books has to be Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. It's a classic piece of literature despite the contents being anything but classy. This memoir's raw, truthful stories accompanied by it's golden phrasing makes it a must read.
This endocrinology essay states the main hormones released when a stressor is encountered. It describes how these hormones affect the body and how the hormone production comes to a stop.
