Since embarking on this educational journey 27 years ago, I have met some amazing people who have turned into lifelong friends. I started teaching in South Jamaica, Queens, New York in September of 1996, at the ripe old age of 22. I never imagined all these years later, those 9 year old students of mine would still be in contact with me. That’s the beauty of education and bring a teacher. You never know who will remember you or the impact you will have on children's’ lives.
