I’m Kate Bartelt, a passionate gardener (since my great-grandmother gave me a trowel when I was six), a seasoned project manager, and an environmental policy leader (BS Environmental Science, MS Environmental Public Policy). For well over two decades, I’ve developed and managed scientific projects, paying particular attention to the art and politics of making science practical and practical science smart. I want to help you see nature, and also help you sustain it.

For the past 20 years, I have been a project manager for environmental restoration projects around the country, ranging in scale from establishing programs to promote business recycling in Minneapolis to establishing climate action plans in Arizona.

I also work in the non-profit field as an environmental stewardship educator and advocate, volunteer as a member of national professional organizations, and speak out in environmental forums to support more sustainable policies.
